Q. What file formats do you offer to customers?
We offer MPEG1 and MPEG4/XVID for most items. Some items may have only one or the other based on the length of the video or what was available to us from our producers.
Q. What's the difference between MPEG1 and MPEG4?
Both file formats can be played from a PC or a MAC
- We recommend that you only use MPEG1 if you are using the video in a PowerPoint presentation or you are using a slower computer to run the video clip.
- MPEG4 is a newer codec that has smaller file sizes and looks a lot better than MPEG1. MPEG4 isn't compatible with PowerPoint presentations though. You will need the Xvid codec to be able to play these files. What is the Xvid codec?
Q. How many times can I download a video?
You can download a video up to 3 times within 3 days of purchase.
Q. Do you only offer Google Checkout?
Yes, we only offer Google Checkout at this time. We realize this adds an extra step for new users, but believe the upside out-weighs the down. Not only will future purchases be very quick to complete, but customers also have peace of mind knowing that their financial transaction is being handled by an impartial and well known third party.
Q. I'm a producer. How does this work?
Good Ground Media is a Video on Demand (VOD) website. The producer submits their content, we post it, the customer buys it and downloads it. You get a check each month.
Q. What kind of content are you looking for?
We are looking for any and all content that might be useful to a church, youth group, motivational speaker, etc. Short films, countdowns, and B-roll.
99.9% of all media will be viewed by a Christian market. So content should be appropriate for a Sunday Morning Service.
Short films tend to sell better if they are under 5 minutes, although we don’t have a cap on how long a program can be. So if you have a 20min short or even a full feature, send it our way.
